yōkaimaki

Yōkaimaki is a cryptid fishing-cooking game, where one must traverse the depths to catch notable cryptids, and then correctly prepare sushi orders with the remains. Yōkaimaki was created in Unity in a semester by Open Alpha USC, a student organization of 27 members that brings a game from conception to release every semester.

Role(s): Vice President of Finance, Producer, Composer

As the VP of Finance of Open Alpha during this semester, I worked with 5 other board members to manage the production of the game, as well as individually to handle organizational funds and communication with university financial offices. For production, we utilized sprints and milestones to guide the cohort through the game-making process. I also produced one of the fishing background tracks, called Demersal Dread.
